Leerstand mit Aussicht (Prospect for Vacancies)
The study – funded by the BMLRT (Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management) – aims to gather the existing knowledge on the typification, identification and reactivation of vacancies in urban and municipal centers and to make the information available in a comprehensive reference book. The handbook is aimed at vacancy managers in Austrian municipalities and regions – both those who are currently active and those who will be operating in the future. The core of the study is to combine the expertise of the study team with the practical experience of vacancy pioneers and vacancy experts. Through a smart study process design, this knowledge from research and practice is brought together, reflected and improved in feedback loops, resulting in an application-oriented handbook.
Aim of the Project
The core of the study is the combination of the expertise of the study team with the practical experience of vacancy pioneers and vacancy specialists: This includes people who are already working as vacancy managers (or under a different name) as well as those who are professionals or experts in the field. The project is set up as a process in which knowledge from research and practice is brought together in several loops, reflected upon and improved in feedback rounds.
